Vendanges Sancerre

In the Sancerre region, the grape harvest is always a festive and joyous occasion, despite the hard manual labour and intense physical effort involved. Every year in Crézancy-en-Sancerre, DOMAINE CHOTARD hires grape-pickers for the fortnight-long harvest. Every year, around fifty people work in the different plots, secateurs in hand or hoods on their backs, under the guidance of Simon, Juliette, Daniel and Brigitte.

 

These entirely manual harvests comply with the specifications imposed by the Organic Agriculture certification obtained in 2022.

 

Each day, the lunch prepared by us - and the evening meal for participants staying at the Domaine - is an opportunity to get together, eat and recharge. Accommodation on site - as far as possible.
